Papermint Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
This policy covers buying a Papermint app outside the App Store and managing your licences at console.papermint.studio. Each app also has its own privacy policy, linked from its page, for what the app itself does on your device.
Buying an app
- Dodo Payments sells our direct-download apps as merchant of record. When you buy, you give your name, email, country and payment details to Dodo Payments, not to us. They handle payment, tax, receipts and refunds under their own privacy policy. We can see your name, email, country and what you bought, to support you.
- Licence keys. Dodo Payments creates your key and emails it to you. When you activate it, the app sends the key and your Mac’s name (as set in System Settings) to Dodo Payments, and checks the key again from time to time. That’s how a licence covers the number of Macs you paid for. Nothing else about your Mac is sent.
The licence console
- Signing in is handled by Clerk. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google. Clerk keeps your email address (and, with Google, your name and profile picture) so you can sign in again. With Google, Google tells Clerk only your name, email and profile picture.
- What you see comes from Dodo Payments each time: the licence keys bought with your verified email, and the names of the Macs each key is on. You can rename a Mac or take a key off it. The console keeps no database of its own.
- Hosting. The console and papermint.studio run on Cloudflare, which handles your IP address to serve them. We don’t use it to identify you.
- No ads, no tracking cookies and no selling of anything about you.
Your choices
- To delete your console sign-in, or ask what we hold about you, email hello@papermint.studio. Purchase records stay with Dodo Payments for as long as tax law requires.
- If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
